Llywarch Owain Reynolds (1843-1916), Celtic scholar, was the son of the author Jonathan Owain Reynolds ('Nathan Dyfed'; 1814-1891). He possessed a valuable collection of books and manuscripts, amongst which was the notable 'Llyvyr Hir Llywarch Reynolds', a seventeenth century collection of Welsh poetry in the hand of farmer poet Llywelyn Siôn, Llangewydd.
