D. Griffith Davies (1845-1899), BA, of Bangor, Caernarvonshire, was an antiquarian and draper. He was educated at Friars School and Liverpool Institute and was awarded a BA at Trinity College, Dublin, in 1878. He took over his father's drapery business in Bangor in about 1881, retiring due to ill health in 1897. He was a local secretary in Caernarvonshire for the Cambrian Archaeological Association and contributed articles and illustrations to Archaeologia Cambrensis on Welsh antiquarian matters. He died in London on 9 April 1899.
