His research interests, reflected in his papers, included 'The Epic of Art and Folklore', 'Art and the Supernatural', architecture and furniture and primitive art. He lived in Newport, Essex. He corresponded with his friend, Mrs Ada Hondius-Crone (fl. 1937-1953), of Holland.
