He acquired manuscripts of the antiquarians Theophilus Jones (1759-1812) and William Owen Pughe (1759-1835). His collection was expanded by his grandson, Capt. James Buckley (1869-1924) of Castell Gorfod, St Clears, Carmarthenshire, author of Genealogies of the Carmarthenshire Sheriffs (Carmarthen, 1910-1913, 2 vols). | |||||||||||||||
