In 1909, the College in Cambridge founded for him the Munro Lectureship in Celtic. He served in World War I, and died in 1920. In 1937 Quiggin's Poems from the Book of the Dean of Lismore with a Catalogue of the Book and Indexes, edited by J. Fraser, was published.
