Merfyn Jones (Q71372)

Mr Merfyn Jones (1939-), biochemist and political organiser, attended University College of Wales Aberystwyth, 1957-1963, and later became lecturer in biochemistry there. He served on the Association of University Teachers' Council, 1970-2003. He is a long-time Liberal Party activist, secretary of the Aberystwyth Liberal Association, 1970-1981, a member of the executive committee of the Ceredigion Liberal Association, 1969-1983, and the Ceredigion and Pembroke North Liberal Association, 1983-1988, and a representative of the Welsh Liberal Party on national committees.
